What a week it has been! I just love all the activities for Homecoming and how the whole community gets involved! The school has themed days so that the students and faculty can dress up and promote school spirit all week. They had a Camo day, Hawaii day (I wonder if schools in Hawaii have "Texas day"), of course a tacky day and on Fridays it Green and White. The funniest day, for me this year was "Decades" day. The freshman had the 60's, Sophmores the 50's, Juniors the 70's and Senior's the 80's (because it was the best decade - that made me laugh so hard!) I do remember school in the 80's and we always had a fifities day. I never thought that my kids would dress up like I did in school. Anyway, the senior football guys wore the old basketball uniforms from the 80's. The Sr. girls in the leg warmers and side ponytails, stood in the halls swooning over the basketball team. They sure had a lot of fun.
The band will be performing their entire show for the first time tonite. I can't wait. They are really pushing themselves to prepare for State next year.
Hannah is on the Homecoming Court and is very excited that her best friend, Tracy is as well. Actually all the Seniors are good friends so there will be no loser!!
Hannah introduced Cliff Kennedy as the speaker for the community pep ralley. Cliff is in town for his 10 year reunion. He and his wife have been great role models for my kids and we think an awful lot of them and their families.
We will post more pics this weekend from the game tonight!
Go Mean Green!!

Ginny Ownes, a christian recording artist, came to LeTourneau to speak at Chapel and to give a concert. Rebekah was asked to be her 'tour guide' and was super excited. Sarah introduced the girls to Ginny Ownes' music several years ago and they all became quick fans. Clifton football had a bye week, so Leah was able to go to Longview for a visit and the concert, but Hannah had to stay in Clifton to play volleyball.
Leah has so much fun spending some one-on-one time with sis Rebekah. She loved being the first to see Riley clap all on her own. Ryne made her visit extra special by taking them out to dinner and a movie!
Ginny was very funny and made the girls laugh a lot. She became totally blind at 3 yrs old. She lives by herself, (with her dog, which is not a seeing eye dog)in Nashville and teaches a college course on song writing when she is not traveling and doing concerts. I met Team RB in Chandler to pick up Leah on Sunday and was able to get a few minutes with Riley.
Rebekah is feeling much better these days. She is looks very good and we do not know if the next team member will be a guy or gal. Stay tuned for more news!
Thanks Rebekah, Ryne and Riley for having Leah. She really enjoyed her time with you guys. Can't wait to see you Homecoming!

Riley came and stayed for a week with us as Ryne and Rebekah started back to school. What fun we had! Riley is really a good baby and kept us laughing! She is crawling and is really fast. I couldn't get it taped for I tried to take a couple of pictures. She loves a cell phone and will crawl to get to one. That must be her mother in her! She went to visit with mom's friends at CISD. We went to volleyball games, football games, pep rallies and church! She was so busy...and loved it! She enjoys watching people and all the music had her dancing! Leah signed with her and Hannah sang/danced with her. Preacher slept with her and Honey played and loved on her! Thank you Ryne and Rebekah for letting her come to visit! Next time you come too!

The Clifton Pride is alive and well in Clifton. I love driving down Hwy 6 and seeing all the green flags flying on Fridays!!! It looks so cool! We also have new flags that say "Clifton Cubs" and four smaller flags that spell CUBS that are used at the pep rally and football games! The first pep rally for the season was so great! I haven't seen that much spirit in Clifton in a long time! Way to go Cubs! The volleyball team looks very strong and district will start next week. The band is already marching their show and sound amazing (0f course!). I know that most of you just want to see pics and not read all this, so there you go!
