New Friends...

Debbie and her friend Kay, came to visit this weekend. Kay's daughter's attend Baylor and she was able to visit with them. When Keith and I heard that the girls sing we invited them to sing at our church. They were wonderful!!! Their music was so pure and sincere. They love the Lord and that came through their music. It was so much fun to have them join us for worship. Here are a few pictures of our weekend.

Leah's new bedroom

Leah had been wanting a different look in her bedroom. She wanted a Captain's bed to give her more room. We called Uncle Jimmy and described what we wanted and here is the final product!! Thank you Uncle Jimmy! Leah is much more organized and feels relaxed in her new setting.

Music to my ears

Leah loves music. She is very talented and was invited to attend the Texas Baptist All State Band this summer. Keith and I saw such a positive change in Leah after that camp. She plays the clarinet for the marching band, saxaphone for the jazz and band and she now is taking piano lessons for the first time!! She is a quick learner and is excited about playing for us in church soon. I am so proud of her. Leah, I love you and am proud to me your mom!

Can you say Cheerleader in Japanese?

Hannah applied with iWitness Ministries to go on a Mission trip next summer to Japan. She has been notified that her application has been accepted. She will go next summer at the end of July. I can't beleive that she wants to go; but I know that God will use this in her life and in mine.

Hannah had a very busy week with volleyball games, pep rallies, football games, etc. She really enjoyed Rebekah and Ryne coming home for the weekend. She is an incredible young lady that I'm blessed to call daughter.

Taking a stab at it

Acupuncture, that is. Okay, not so pretty picture of my stomach area, but the idea is for you to see the 7 needles. Today, I had 1 in each ankle, 1 on each of my sides by the ribcage, 7 on my stomach, 3 in each wrist, 1 on my forehead and 1 in the top of my head!! Master Joan leaves them in about 30-40 minutes and then gives me some vitamins to drinks and massages my shoulder. Usually I come home and sleep very well for a couple of hours. She tells me to take it easy, but what Mom/Wife can do that completely? I try to keep my Tuesday fairly simple since I know that is the day Master Joan will work on me. I will go weekly through October. I will let you know about the process and if we think that I can tell a change.

Friday, August 13th, I mean 31st...

No pictures from tonights football game. We traveled to Dublin for the Volleyball games where Clifton girls won all games. That was great fun. Then a friend of mine left the games with me to go over to the football field. Her husband, father-in-law and younger son followed in their van. WE did make one stop at Granny's Kitchen. It was very good. When we got to the parking lot I had a very low right tire. Mr. Geroge took my van to try to get the tire fixed. The rest of the group went to the football game. Mr. George showed up about 30 minutes later and had not been able to find a place to fix the tire but he did put air in. However, at some point and time, I had run over a nail. Keith went down to change the tire since there was still daylight. In all the excitment, I left my camera. After Halftime, they called the game due to lighting and clear the stands. The temp dropped to 74 degrees very quickly. After a quick Sonic run they decided to finish the game. Clifton would have won, if it had not been for all the distractions!!!! I will take pictures next week. The games are at home...Clifton lost 19 - 7. It was midnight when we go home. What a Friday the 13th, I mean 31st....scary
